Due to a growing and aging population there is an increasing trend towards more home-based and long-term facility care. Community Support Workers trained in Assisted Living are in high demand. This program gives you the skills to work with elderly and mentally ill clients as well as those with disabilities and chronic illness.
This multi-disciplinary, diploma program also trains you in physical care, counselling skills, developmental psychology, mental health and family studies. You will come away with a firm understanding of the Federal and Provincial social service systems. In addition, a self-care unit will provide you with the skills to revitalize and avoid burn-out.
Note: CPR, First Aid, Food Safe and Basic WHMIS will be completed during the program.

Upon completion of this certified and approved ECE Certificate Program, you will need to submit a photocopy of a valid First Aid certificate, official transcript, and a letter attesting to the completion of 500 hours of work experience to the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry in order to gain their license as an Early Childhood Educator.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will discover employment doors open in various community pharmacies throughout Canada and overseas. Practical Nursing is fast becoming one of the most necessary careers in the province of BC. The competencies required for a Practical Nurse are validated by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPN) and are an integral part of the curriculum and practicums. Throughout this three-semester diploma program, you will learn the full range of competencies in pharmacology and medication administration. The program also includes three practicums, one at the end of each semester. Finally, a five-week Preceptorship follows the successful completion of all semesters.

Along with an academic study of general anatomy, and physiology, students will be provided with a detailed hands-on study of human anatomy, general pathology, nutrition, therapeutic exercise and hygiene. The clinical portion of this diploma program will allow the student an opportunity to practice Swedish massage techniques as well as spa-hydrotherapy treatments.
