"3 Dimensional Interactive Learning Environment" 3DILE Technology

Imagine a world of education where anything is a possible! A virtual reality where you can learn in an immersive environment, feel a sense of community, social integration and connection with the instructor, the students and people.

Sprott-Shaw Campus

Sprott-Shaw has three islands on which students might learn. The first Island is the Main Campus, currently offering an online degree program to students. Sprott-Shaw also hosts a Trades Island which currently operates an electrical program. The third Sprott-Shaw island is a newly acquired medical facility for teaching healthcare programs and for collaboration between physicians, nurses and interns from around the world.

Technology

 Sprott-Shaw's Second Life technology includes:

An integrated teaching platfrom.

Two way communication tools, both verbal and written.

  • Students are able to see documents, slides, pictures and watch videos.
  • Students have the ability to take part in discussion groups.
  • Easy menu system for instructors to teach in the vitural classroom.
