Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the College Director serves as the leader, team-builder and operations manager of a Sprott Shaw College campus. The College Director also ensures that each Sprott Shaw campus is operating as efficiently as possible. This is an on-going open call for applications. Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations at the campus level
  • Ensure that all school policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Verifies that the student meets all admission requirements and gives final approval for student’s enrolment into the campus
  • Determines programs schedules based on student enrolment and ensures physical resources such as classroom space, textbooks, and equipment meets programs’ needs
  • Review student course and teacher evaluations and address any concerns
  • Input student grades in a timely manner
  • Recruit and train instructional and support staff
  • Conduct performance appraisals and be responsible for performance management of support staff
  • Supervise and guide the financial administrator through the period-end process
  • Address any student queries or concerns
  • Monitor and ensure all notice boards are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure that support staff is well informed by conducting regular staff meetings
  • Participate in regular conference call meetings with fellow College Directors, Regional Directors of Operations, and the Vice-President of Operations
  • Ensure that the campus is clean, safe, and free of hazards by conducting regular safety inspections
  • Assist in preparing annual budget for the campus
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretions of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing

Qualifications and Education

  • Undergraduate degree or professional designation accompanied by two years’ experience in education or teaching
    OR a five year combination of academic and related experience (supervisory experience preferred)
    OR completed graduate studies in education, business or a relevant subject matter with one year of related experience

  • Knowledge of post-secondary education procedures (including instructing experience) and policies
  • Knowledge of financial models would be beneficial
  • Reliable means of transportation is a must

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of MS Office and Database Systems
  • Excellent Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal skills
