Sprott Shaw’s Trades & Design Programs train our students to become qualified in Interior Design, Sustainable Architectural Technology, Computer-Aided Design Technology, and also become certified Construction Electrician Apprentices.
The Industry Training Authority (ITA) leads and coordinates the skilled trades training and credential system in BC. The Interprovincial Red Seal sets common standards to assess the skills of tradespeople across Canada and is issued by the ITA.
After completion of the electrical foundation program, students will receive an ITA ID number, allowing them to work in the electrical industry.
Our Trades Program provides students with ITA-BC approved training to become certified Construction Electrician Apprentices. Our Electrical Foundations program is ideal for entry-level electrical training – where no ITA sponsorship is required and includes a 25-week practicum. Our Construction Electrician program combines theoretical content with practical hands-on lab experience using industry-standard equipment.
Our Design Program provides students with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills so students can pursue diverse industries as apprentices. All of our Design Programs include practicum components and have a strong influence rooted in sustainability. Our program tactically trains and teaches students to effectively use platforms like AutoCad, Photoshop, SU Podium and V-Ray for SketchUp, BIM Revit, Rhino, and InDesign
