Sprott Shaw College has partnered with FITT to offer the FITTskills program. FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) is an international trade training and professional certification body.
As the only organization of its kind in the world, FITT sets the standards and designs the training programs leading to the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.
FITTskills is a highly practical, hands-on series of courses that focus on the fundamental aspects of international business.
Students may register for these courses as part of our Post Graduate Global Business Management programs.
Upon successful completion of each of the six (6) FITT courses, students can elect to write an exam administered by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in pursuit of an additional FITT Diploma in International Trade, which fulfills the educational requirement of the CITP designation.

Apply the importing and exporting functions used in business in the context of domestic and international trade

Develop international marketing, financial and human resource strategies
Apply financial knowledge and skills to the business operations
Develop strategies to utilize domestic and foreign government programs, policies, and agencies to facilitate international trade
Discuss the business advantages of multilingualism in regard to doing business in a global environment
This program includes a Co-op placement. This placement enables the student to gain first-hand paid experience in the chosen career field while enabling Instructional staff to observe the student in a practice situation. Please note successful completion of the Co-op is required for graduation.

This program is part of Sprott Shaw’s university transfer initiative for anyone looking to continue their education and pursue a bachelor’s degree for Global Business Management in Canada.

Diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
International students must have evidence of English Language competency at IELTS 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5, or TOEFL IBT 80, or equivalent
Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and may be required to do an entrance assessment.
Note: Applicants that have not completed IELTS must score 25/40 in language and 25/40 in math.

Access to Technology:
This program will be delivered online in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. It is therefore important that you have access to a computer and working environment with the following characteristics:
Web camera/High Definition video camera – MS Lifecam series, Logitech C500 or 900 series
Headset with microphone
MS Office Suite 2007 or 2010 preferred
Instructors are available at all times for scheduled classes and by email (response within 24 hours). Additionally, students can usually access instructors prior to class or just after the class ends.
* Post-Graduate Diploma – Global Business Management with Co-op was reviewed and approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.
Students can expect to complete one to three hours of homework per day.
