Welcome to the Sprott Shaw Penticton College Campus! The Penticton campus is centrally located in the heart of the South Okanagan, which is easily accessible from Summerland, the Oliver and Osoyoos region. This campus is nearby local bus routes and is neighbours with Walmart, Cherry Lane Mall, and Tim Hortons.
Our Practical Nursing Program receives distinguished interest within the local and surrounding communities. In fact, some of our graduates have been offered positions before completion. Our well-respected Health Care Assistant program offers monthly intakes so you can “get in, get out, and get working.” If you are from the Oliver and Osoyoos community, the HCA satellite class is offered in conjunction with the Mariposa Gardens and may be of interest to you as you can go to school and train on-site in your own community.
If you’re in town for the International Children’s Festival, Peach Fest, Iron Man, Oktoberfest, or any other renowned local event, stop by and say hello!

I have been teaching early childhood education (ECE) for the past 6 years, bringing over 25 years of experience to the role in early learning and care in preschool, daycare, and early intervention centres. I earned my ECE Diploma at a local college. For the past 10 years, I have facilitated the Carmi Elementary Strong Start Program and am an active member of Changing Results for Young Children, a BC Ministry of Education Professional Development Series.
I have over 15 years of experience working in healthcare. I completed my Practical Nursing (PN) program through Sprott Shaw and graduated in 2008. Prior to becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN), I worked as a Long-Term Care Aide. I have worked in a variety of settings from acute, long-term care, community, and have worked as front-line nursing staff and in management roles. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with Vancouver Island, Interior Health Authority, and various private facilities.
I have been a licensed practical nurse (LPN) since 1979 and just recently started with Sprott Shaw. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked as a Care Aide and LPN. I have also worked in a variety of areas in nursing, but my passion is gerontology. Being an instructor gives me the opportunity to help students realize their dreams.
I have more than 2 years of teaching and educational experience. I have earned my Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education. Since graduation, I have worked extensively in the hospitality and tourism industry, guiding teams in multiple management roles.
I am a licensed practical nurse (LPN) who has been with Sprott Shaw since 2014. In 1990, I graduated from a nursing program and spent years teaching in various areas, including acute care, long-term care, and mental health. During my time at Sprott Shaw, I have been involved in the Practical Nursing and Health Care Assistant program.
I completed my education in Vernon to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN) . I have worked as an LPN in extended care in a variety of communities in the Interior. Dementia care is where I thrive. I have been an instructor with Sprott Shaw since January 2019.
I have gained 44 years of valuable experience in acute, multi-level care, and community programs. I have been a Health Care Assistant (HCA) instructor at Sprott Shaw for the past 12 years. There are two distinct areas of my career that will always stand above and beyond: Working as an LPN for the Department of National Defense: NATO Hospital in Lahr West Germany for 4 years; and working as a valuable member of the team at Sprott Shaw.
I recently joined the Sprott Shaw family and have been successfully instructing Practical Nursing (PN) and Health Care Assistant (HCA) students since August 2019. I have a vast amount of experience in my field and have taught in various settings throughout my career. I earned the “Staff of the Month” award in August because of the dedication and support I offered my students.
I have over 15 years of experience in healthcare as a health care aid and a licensed practical nurse (LPN). I am now a Registered Nurse (RN) pursuing my Master’s in Nursing with a focus on education. I have been teaching and coordinating the PN and PNA program for the past 7 years. While I have worked in many different areas of healthcare, my passion remains with not only education, but community health, harm reduction, and senior’s health.
