Since the introduction of the B.C. governments “Skills for Jobs Blueprint”, the Industry Training Authority (ITA) has been working to coordinate the trades training system to prepare British Columbians for anticipated future job openings across the province. To ensure BC has the right workers being funneled into the right jobs, the ITA has realigned training investment and identified the top in-demand skilled trades careers based on industry needs.

One of the top trades careers on the ITA’s list of the top in-demand careers in Construction Electrician, with 4,600 job openings expected between now and 2025*. For more information check out the Fall 2016 edition of “Trades Talk” here.
