ECE Students visit Art Exhibit in New Westminster

On February 1, 2019 some of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) students went to the Anvil Center on the corner of Columbia and 8th in New Westminster. While at the Anvil Center the students were able to be a part of the art exhibit using technology and art.

The first Art was very interactive in that students can walk through the Art. There is a 3D printer printing salt buildings. The students were able to walk on the salt and experience the feeling of the salt under their feet. From there the students could get right up and close and see how the 3D printer works.

The second art experience was with virtual reality. For a lot of the students this was their first time experiencing virtual reality. Again this was another way to be inside the art and experience it from all different angles.
