This course enhances students’ ability to understand, communicate, and benefit from advocating proper pet nutrition. Focus is placed on the nutritional and dietary requirements of felines, canines, and other small animals.
Students will develop a framework for evaluating diet quality and understanding the advantages of providing high-quality food. They will gain skills to critically assess various diets and recognize the health benefits associated with optimal nutrition, enabling them to make informed dietary recommendations for animal care.
Students will be introduced to different therapeutic diet brands, and complete certificate online seminars from the most important nutrition companies within the veterinary industry.
