BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
The BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry reviews and recognizes Health Care Assistant programs in BC to ensure that they are: following the provincial curriculum, implementing a common set of training standards, and graduating competent front-line health care providers. Confirming that health care assistants meet registration requirements is integral to the Registry’s mandate of patient protection and improved standards of care. Graduates of the HCA program delivered by Sprott Shaw College are eligible for registration with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry to demonstrate their competence and credentials to work for publicly funded employers in BC.
BC College of Nurses and Midwives
The Sprott Shaw College (SSC) Practical Nursing Program curriculum is based on the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice Framework. These include the Scope of Practice Standards, Professional Standards and the Practice Standards as set out by BCCNM. Successful graduation of this program does not guarantee a license to practice. Such license is issued by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) after successful completion of the mandatory national examination. BC College of Oral Health Professionals

The BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) is the regulatory body for Dentists, Dental Therapists, and Certified Dental Assistants in BC. The role of the BCCOHP is to protect the public by overseeing the conduct and competence of its registrants by ensuring that they are registered and qualified to practice and consistently provide safe and ethical care to their patients. Our Dental Assistant program is designed to meet the regulations governing certified dental assisting practices as defined by the BC College of Oral Health Professionals. With the completion of the program, students will be eligible to write the National Dental Assisting Board examination. Passing this exam and applying for licensure with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals will allow our students to become Certified Dental Assistants.
Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada
The Sprott Shaw College Dental Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). In consultation with its partners, CDAC develops and approves requirements for educational programs educating and training.
Canadian Professional Counsellors Association
The Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization founded in 1990. The CPCA establishes the regulatory framework for its members built on the foundations of counselling competency and compliance in both registration and discipline. In all of its work, the CPCA is dedicated to the promotion of public confidence and trust in the counselling profession in Canada. Students of our Professional Counsellor program are eligible to take the CPCA Qualifying Exam.
Early Childhood Educators of BC
The Early Childhood Educators of BC (ECEBC) provide professional development opportunities, training and resources for early childhood educators across BC with a vision for a society where early childhood educators thrive in a supportive community that values childhood and education. ECEBC is the collective voice to advance professional and personal commitment to the value of early care and learning by empowering the sector through education, collaboration and leadership. Sprott Shaw is a member of the Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia.
Skilled Trades British Columbia
Skilled Trades British Columbia (formally the Industry Training Authority – ITA) leads and coordinates the skilled trades training and credential system in BC. After completion of the electrical foundation program, students will receive an ITA ID number, allowing them to work in the electrical industry.
Ministry of Education and Childcare – ECE Registry
Sprott Shaw College’s Early Childhood Education programs are recognized by the ECE Registry. Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a critical role in providing education and care for young children. To work as an ECE or ECE Assistant in a licensed child care facility in B.C. you must be certified by the ECE Registry.
Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education

The Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) is the industry-recognized standard-setting and accrediting body for Montessori teaching education. The MACTE accredits certification and diploma programs based on the evidence that they prepare competent, caring, and qualified professional Montessori educators and have the capacity to monitor and improve their programs’ quality. Sprott Shaw College Montessori Teacher Education holds accredited status for its Early Childhood IND Montessori Teacher Education Program from the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).
National Payroll Institute

The National Payroll Institue represents over 40,00 payroll practitioners covered under individual or organization memberships, working with employers and governments to make payroll legislation and administration more efficient and effective. Graduates of our payroll programs are eligible to complete and submit the Application for Certification to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification from the National Payroll Institue.
The Forum for International Trade Training (FITT)

The Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) is an international trade training and professional certification body endorsed by the Government of Canada, Trade Commissioner Service, and EDC (Export Development Canada). Sprott Shaw College has partnered with FITT to offer the FITTskills Program. Students enrolled at Sprott Shaw may register for these courses as part of the International Trade Programs. Upon successful completion of all the required courses, students are eligible to write an exam administered by the FITT in pursuit of an additional FITT Diploma in International Trade, which fulfills the educational requirements of the FITT CITP designation.

Ascenda School of Management
Sprott Shaw College and Ascenda School of Management have developed a pathway program for students interested in gaining a global business perspective and professional industry skills. In this pathway program, students will complete a Business Administration Management diploma in the first year at Sprott Shaw College and pursue their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Acsenda School of Management.

BCIT
Sprott Shaw College and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) have partnered to create the Sprott Shaw College – BCIT Pathway: enabling Sprott Shaw College graduates entry into BCIT’s School of Business. If you complete the entire pathway you will have the opportunity to earn a BCIT Business Diploma and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in addition to your Sprott Shaw College Diploma.

Coast Mountain College
Sprott Shaw College (SSC) and Coast Mountain College (CMTN) have partnered to create a unique pathway program. Students who graduate from SSC’s Business Administration Management Diploma program will be eligible to transfer credits directly into CMTN’s Business Administration Diploma Program. Upon completion of the pathway program, graduates will receive a diploma from both SSC and CMTN.

Fairleigh Dickinson University
Sprott Shaw College and Fairleigh Dickinson University have partnered to create a pathway program for students interested in tourism, hospitality, or business administration management. Students can complete a Business Administration Management Co-op diploma or Hospitality Management with Co-op diploma at Sprott Shaw, and pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies (BAIS) at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Harvard Business School Online

Sprott Shaw College is the first private college in Canada to offer Harvard Business School Online’s CORe curriculum. Taught online using Harvard’s platform and instructors, we provide course offerings in Business Analytics, Economics for Managers and Financial Accounting. These courses will available as an enhanced credential with our existing Business Administration Management, Global Marketing Management and Post-Graduate Business programs.

Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)

SQA’s Diploma to Degree programme is a proven route for students to progress onto the second or third year of an undergraduate degree, following successful completion of an SQA Advanced Diploma. SQA Advanced Diploma is recognized by Higher Education Institutions globally.

Sprott Shaw College and University Canada West have created a pathway for students who complete SSC’s Business Administration Management Diploma and wish to complete a Bachelor of Commerce at UCW.
