Additional Admissions Pathways
Athabasca University

Sprott Shaw College graduates of our Practical Nursing program are eligible for admission towards the Bachelor of Nursing (Post-LPN) Program of Athabasca University. Athabasca’s unique program offers a university education designed specifically for licensed practical nurses. As you continue working in your field, you can remain in your community and complete your baccalaureate nursing theory courses using their flexible learning environment. All of the non-nursing, required, support and option theory courses are completed by distance education. Graduates of their Post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing program are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
