BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP
Anna Sprott Scholarship: $2,000 towards tuition cost.
Open to support women taking a program in Sprott Shaw’s Business Faculty.
Submission by a 300-word written essay.

EMR GRANTS
Available to all students who have previously earned their EMR certification. Get $1000 toward the Primary Care Paramedic program.
GRADUATE GRANTS
RJ Sprott Alumni Grant: For Returning Sprott Shaw Graduates.
12% reduction on tuition for any Sprott Shaw program 6 months or greater in length.
HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIP
Personal Growth and Fortitude Scholarship: $2,000 towards tuition cost granted annually.
Available to students who have exhibited a fortitude in undertaking the challenges of mental health with family/friends or within the community. Valid for all Sprott Shaw Healthcare programs.
Submission by a 300-word written essay.
GRANT FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Since 1903 High School Grant: Sprott Shaw offers up to $4,000 towards your Sprott Shaw program of choice.
Grant amounts are based on the program length by the number of weeks. This is available to all BC High School graduates who start a Sprott Shaw program within 1 year of graduation.
Submission of an essay on the topic: “Why I am Interested in My Program of Choice” (min. 300 words) and copies of your Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 Transcripts are required. For more information click here.
INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP
Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation Scholarship: Full Ride Scholarship
In the spirit of reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples in Canada, Sprott Shaw is committed to honouring the calls to action identified by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. As part of this commitment, Sprott Shaw is offering a full scholarship available annually to two non-sponsored First Nations, Métis or Inuit identified persons.
Submission by a 300-word written essay. This scholarship cannot be combined with existing Band Funding.
MILITARY GRANT
Military and Veteran Grant: 20% discount on tuition for any program.
Sprott Shaw is committed to supporting the communities in which we are based, including service members and veterans, as they continue to make progress towards their educational goals. Our Military Tuition Discount program provides a 20% discount on the tuition of any non-Trades program.
Must provide proof of military service. This does not apply to our Trades programs or International students.
PAYROLL SCHOLARSHIP
Shirley Young Scholarship: $6,000 towards tuition costs.
Open to support excellence in the Sprott Shaw Payroll program.
Submission by a 300-word written essay.
PRACTICAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
Sprott Shaw Nursing Scholarship: $3,000 towards tuition cost.
Open to support Canadian Nursing.
Submission by a 300-word written essay.
TEACHING ASSISTANT & ECE GRANTS
Passing It Forward Scholarship: $1,500 towards tuition cost.
Open to those who are interested in a career in the childcare and education sectors. The scholarship is from the instructors at Sprott Shaw who support our Early Childhood and Teaching Assistant programs.
Submission by a 300-word written essay.
Sprott Shaw College/Covenant House Scholarship Program
In collaboration and partnership with Covenant House Vancouver and our parent company, BPP Education Group, we have established a new scholarship program that helps support youth in need in Vancouver called the Sprott Shaw College/Covenant House Scholarship Program. To apply, you will need to be recommended by Covenant House Vancouver and meet the academic and admission requirements for the career program of your choosing.

B.C. Access Grant for Students with Disabilities: Up to $1,560 per program year.
This program helps full-time students with a permanent disability, or a persistent
or prolonged disability with the cost of education .

B.C. Assistance Program for Students with Disabilities: up to $10,000 ($12,000 if an attendant is required at school).
This program helps students with disabilities pay for exceptional education-related services and adaptive equipment.

B.C. Loan Forgiveness Program: the Province of British Columbia will forgive the outstanding B.C. portion of your Canada-B.C. integrated student loan debt at a rate of up to a maximum of 20% per year for up to five years.
Recent graduates in select in-demand occupations can have their B.C. student loans forgiven by agreeing to work at publicly-funded facilities in underserved communities in B.C., or working with children in occupations where there is an identified shortage in B.C.

B.C. Supplemental Bursary for Students with Disabilities: $400 – $800.
You may be eligible if you are a part-time or full-time student with a permanent disability, or a persistent or prolonged disability and qualify for the Canada Student Grant for Students with Disabilities.

Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students: $375 – $525 monthly.
This program gives extra help to students from low and middle-income families. Based on your previous year’s annual income and family size, you may be eligible.

Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students with Dependents: Up to $280 per month of study for each child under 12 years of age.
This grant is available to full-time students with dependents in financial need.

Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students: Up to $2520 per program year.
This program provides extra help to low-income part-time students.

Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students with Dependents: $56 – $84 weekly.
This program helps part-time students with dependants with the cost of education. Students studying part-time who qualify for this grant and who have up to two children under 12 years of age may be eligible.

Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment – Students with Disabilities: Up to $20,000 per loan year for services and equipment.
This program helps full-time or part-time students with a permanent disability, or a persistent or prolonged disability pay for exceptional education related costs for services and equipment.

Canada Student Grant for Students with Disabilities: $2,800 per program year.
This program helps full-time or part-time students with a permanent disability, or a persistent or prolonged disability with the cost of education.

ECEBC Education Support Fund (Bursary): Up to $4000.
These funding streams are designed to increase the number of students entering, re-establishing and graduating from recognized ECE post-secondary programs.

Enriched Academy Scholarship: $500 – $2000 towards tuition cost.
Enriched Academy is offering scholarships of up to $2,000 for those who complete an Enriched Academy course through their post-secondary institution.

Indspire – Building Brighter Futures Scholarship: For Dental Assistant Students
The National Dental Assisting Examining Board has collaborated with the Indspire team to be the first national dental organization to establish a scholarship to support Indigenous dental assisting students.
This award will be distributed to Indigenous students who are attending any post-secondary dental assisting program across Canada that is NDAEB exam eligible. Although demonstrated financial need will be the primary consideration, other factors may also be considered (such as involvement in and contribution to the community as a whole and academic merit and performance).
Scholarship recipients who successfully complete their dental assisting program will also be eligible to register as a first-time writer to the NDAEB examination, at no charge.

Learning Disability Assessment Bursary: Up to $3,500
Available if you have a learning disability, you need a recent learning disability assessment to determine eligibility for services and/or equipment.

Learning for Future Grant: $3,500 per program year.
The Learning for Future Grant is available to full-time or part-time students who meet the eligibility criteria for the Provincial Tuition Waiver Program and are enrolled in a program or course below the graduate level that leads, or will lead, to a credential (citation, certificate, diploma or degree).

New Relationship Trust Foundation Bursaries
The New Relationship Trust Foundation is pleased to offer Bursaries to Certificate, Diploma, Associates Degrees, and/or Trades to interested and eligible Indigenous students. Eligible students who are enrolled in a post-secondary institution and remain in good academic standing are encouraged to apply for an NRT Foundation Bursary.

North American Van Lines Logistics Scholarship: $1,000 towards tuition cost.
North American Van Lines is a large moving company and is providing scholarships to students who major in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a similar field.
This is an external scholarship provided by North American Van Lines, full details and application form is available on their website.

Storwell’s Foster Children Bursary: $2000 towards tuition costs.
Storwell offers an annual bursary of $2,000 in support of foster children to help them attend post-secondary schools and to offer a hand up as they make their way forward in life.
Applicants must have been a foster child with an official Canadian or American foster care program.

The Nurses Education Bursary: $2,000.
You may be eligible if you are enrolled full-time in an eligible nursing program that leads to a diploma.

All awards, grants and scholarships are subject to our Grant and Scholarship Terms and Conditions.
All awards, grants and scholarships (with the exception of the Military Grant, Since 1903 High School Scholarship and RJ Sprott Award), will be selected by the awarding committee, which will sit the first week of August each year.
All applicants can start writing the essay using the following phrase “I believe I am a suitable applicant for this award because…”
Successful applicants are required to commence their program within six months of being notified.
Program Prerequisites required. It should be noted that students who have already started in a program will still be considered for the award if their application was submitted to the committee prior to their start date.
