It covers key topics such as the identification of ethical standards and an overview of the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) Code of Ethics. Students will examine the range of income security programs available across Canada and engage in discussions on social work practices involving women and Aboriginal peoples. The course will also address the historical context of colonialism and the impact of residential schools. Additionally, students will learn strategies for building partnerships with community resources and identify potential community-based employment opportunities.
