  • The course is designed to introduce students to the preparation and application of dental materials for restorative and aesthetic procedures.
  • Students will learn the chemical, physical, mechanical, and surface properties; handling characteristics; and bioactivity and biocompatibility of a wide variety of purpose specific dental materials in clinical/lab use.
  • The utilization of dental materials, mixing techniques, and safety protocol will be examined in the fabrication of mouth guards, whitening trays, diagnostic casts, study models, and custom trays.
