Sprott Shaw College

The course is designed to introduce students to the preparation and application of dental materials for restorative and aesthetic procedures.
Students will learn the chemical, physical, mechanical, and surface properties; handling characteristics; and bioactivity and biocompatibility of a wide variety of purpose specific dental materials in clinical/lab use.
The utilization of dental materials, mixing techniques, and safety protocol will be examined in the fabrication of mouth guards, whitening trays, diagnostic casts, study models, and custom trays.
