  • This course is designed to introduce students to the preparation and application of dental materials in restorative and aesthetic procedures.
  • Students will learn the clinical uses and the chemical, physical, mechanical and surface properties, handling characteristics, bioactivity, and biocompatibility of a wide variety of purpose specific dental materials.
  • The utilization of dental materials, mixing techniques, and safety protocol will be examined in the fabrication of mouth guards, diagnostic casts, study models and custom trays.
