  • This course is designed to provide a comprehensive study of tort law principles and their application within the Canadian legal system. Through theoretical instruction and practical case analyses, students will explore various torts, including negligence, intentional torts, strict liability, and vicarious liability and defences to tort claims.
  • Emphasis will be placed on the development of critical thinking skills, legal research, and effective communication in the context of tort litigation. Additionally, students will explore contemporary issues and recent developments in tort law, with a focus on their relevance to the legal landscape in British Columbia.
