Sprott Shaw College is a Designated Learning Institution

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has instituted new rules that will reduce the potential for fraud or misuse of the International Student program while protecting Canada’s reputation for high-quality education and improving services to students.

As of June 1st, 2014, you will need a letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution to receive a study permit. You now need to include the Designated Learning Institution number (DLI #), which is the number that begins with the letter “O”, on your application form. Students who do not obtain a letter of acceptance from a designated institution and include the DLI number on their application form will have their study permit refused.

Sprott Shaw College is proud to be an officially designated institution, meeting all of the requirements set by the CIC. For over 110 years, Sprott Shaw has provided a different option beyond what is currently expected of the private and public sectors within the educational system. We offer accredited, relevant, respected education, and training delivered in a modern way. Today with more than 130 programs including Practical Nursing, Health Care Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Advanced Business Management, Administration Assistant and more, we are proud to continue this tradition with both our domestic and international students into the future.
