A traditional Chinese Dragon Dance officially opened the newest Sprott Shaw College campus in Richmond as students, faculty, dignitaries and members of the public gathered to celebrate an important educational milestone for the community.
Since 1903, Sprott Shaw has been recognized by the community, government and employers for providing relevant skills for relevant jobs in Business, Health, Tourism and Trades. Today, as Sprott Shaw celebrates 110 years of professional career-focused training in British Columbia, over 45 students, both local and from as far away as China and Korea, are enrolled at the Richmond campus.
Sprott Shaw’s Richmond campus is conveniently located in the heart of Richmond at 7920 Cambie Road, close to public transit and a diverse selection of activities and restaurants, allowing students from British Columbia and around the world to experience the full benefits of studying in one of Canada’s most multicultural communities.
“Sprott Shaw’s proven track record of providing training that meets the needs of learners and employers, has brought students from around the world, right here to British Columbia,” said Michael Evans, Director of International Education for Sprott Shaw College. “We are thrilled to be opening this brand new location in Richmond so that our students can experience everything this great city has to offer.”
The new campus includes 5 classrooms and is equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art equipment and technology including a fully-furnished computer lab and LCD projectors mounted in every class.
