Temporary remote delivery of classes

All classes at Sprott Shaw College that were planned to be delivered on-campus in January will be moved to online delivery.

At this stage, we will delay our move to on-campus delivery that was to re-commence January 4th to the new date of January 31st.

The month of being fully remote will provide the time needed to assess the impact of the Omicron variant. All planned clinical and site placements as of now should continue as scheduled. Your campus and instructors will be in touch with details on your WebEx-based classes. All campuses will remain open for student access if needed.

The health and safety of our students and staff continues to be our top priority. B.C.’s Public Health Officer recently noted that the experience in BC, and internationally, show that educational settings are low risk for COVID-19 transmission.

Transmission in educational settings on campus continues to be uncommon. We will continue to monitor the situation and will adapt and change as required. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this period.
