I was a healthcare assistant.

They agreed to help me with my math in order to get into the PN program.
How was the admissions process?
It was easy because of my advisor Phil.
What program did you choose and why?
The Practical Nursing program, because I wanted to be a nurse.
What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?
It was a cozy environment.
Where was your practicum or co-op and how was it?
I went to Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre (VIRCC) and it was amazing. I got hired there after and I start as soon as my license comes in!
How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?
I found two jobs before I started.
Where do you work? Can you explain your duties?
I work at Milieu family services in the outreach department. I work one on one with people with various disabilities by including them in the community by taking them for outings. Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre (VIRCC): medical administration, care for people who are incarcerated. Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH): I care for people post operation.
If you could give advice to someone coming to Sprott Shaw, what would you say?
