Health Care Assistant Day 2019

In honour of Health Care Assistant Day (which is today!), we want to recognize and acknowledge all of the hard-working Health Care Assistants we have among our community. These individuals are diligent, patient, and dedicated to all the work they do. Without them, our society wouldn’t be able to function as well as it does!

In 2011, the first Health Care Assistant Day was officially inaugurated by the BC Provincial Government. The inauguration of this day demonstrates and signifies the importance of Health Care Assistants and their profession. Today, there are over 35,000 Health Care Assistants across British Columbia who provide their local community with care and compassion.

As valued members of the medical industry, Health Care Assistants provide front-line personal care and service to individuals who are unable to care for themselves. If you personally know a Health Care Assistant or have been cared for by one, you know how hard-working and dedicated they are. Don’t forget to thank them and show them you appreciate what they’re doing!

If you’re a Health Care Assistant student, graduate, or worker, we want you to know that we appreciate all of the work you do (or are going to do)! So we are sending a BIG thank you to each and every one of you!

THANK YOU.
