Sprott Shaw Awards Scholarship to Woman Who Lost Family in Typhoon

Patrick Dang, President of Sprott Shaw College, presented Nenita Yap with a full scholarship for our Health Care Assistant program during a presentation today at the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver. Nenita lost 10 family members in Typhoon Haiyan, who was working as a nanny in Surrey at the time. Sprott Shaw College has a long history in the Philippines and plans to make this an annual scholarship, to both domestic and international Philippino students.
