Kathryn Coombs, Medical Office Assistant

In the spring of 2020, Kathryn Coombs graduated from the Medical Office Administrator Program at our East Vancouver campus. After applying for jobs, she received an offer with Vancouver Coastal Health at the University of British Columbia as a Medical Imaging Aide/Clerk.

She says:

“It has been my dream to work for Vancouver Coastal Health! Dreams do come true when you work extremely hard and never give up.

I went to the Sprott Shaw East Vancouver campus. Every single staff member there was phenomenal and I miss seeing everyone each day. Britni, the Campus Director, was especially amazing. Always there to listen and go over and above her job to help myself and other students.

I never thought I could go back to school again, but Sprott Shaw showed me anything is possible.

Thank you for providing such a positive learning environment and having instructors and staff that care about the success of each and every student.”
