BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
The BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry reviews and recognizes Health Care Assistant programs in BC to ensure that they are: following the provincial curriculum, implementing a common set of training standards, and graduating competent front-line health care providers. Confirming that health care assistants meet registration requirements is integral to the Registry’s mandate of patient protection and improved standards of care. Graduates of the HCA program delivered by Sprott Shaw College are eligible for registration with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry to demonstrate their competence and credentials to work for publicly funded employers in BC. BC College of Nurses and Midwives
The Sprott Shaw College Practical Nursing program curriculum is based on the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice Framework. These include the Scope of Practice Standards, Professional Standards and the Practice Standards as set out by BCCNM. Successful graduation of this program does not guarantee a license to practice. Such license is issued by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) after successful completion of the mandatory national examination. BC College of Oral Health Professionals

The BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) is the regulatory body for Dentists, Dental Therapists, and Licensed Dental Assistants in BC. The role of the BCCOHP is to protect the public by overseeing the conduct and competence of its registrants by ensuring that they are registered and qualified to practice and consistently provide safe and ethical care to their patients. Our Dental Assistant program is designed to meet the regulations governing licensed dental assisting practices as defined by the BC College of Oral Health Professionals. With the completion of the program, students will be eligible to write the National Dental Assisting Board examination. Passing this exam and applying for licensure with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals will allow our students to become Licensed Dental Assistants. The Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs
The Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAP) sets standards for pharmacy and pharmacy technician education programs; grants accreditation awards to programs that meet the standards; and promotes continuous improvement of accredited programs.

Canadian College of Health Information Management

The Medical Office Administrator with Practicum program is accredited by the Canadian College of Health Information Management and CHIMA. Graduates are eligible to write the Health Information-Certified Associate (HICA) national certification exam (NCE). Certification recognises health data as a key factor in providing safe and quality care to people across the country. Upon successful completion of all theory and practical components, students will have prepared for this exam and scheduled to write the exam. Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada
The Sprott Shaw College Dental Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC).

Early Childhood Educators of BC

The Early Childhood Educators of BC (ECEBC) offer professional development opportunities, training, and resources for early childhood educators throughout BC, envisioning a society where these educators thrive within a supportive community that values both childhood and education. Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board (EMALB)
The Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board is responsible for examining, registering and licensing all emergency medical assistants (EMAs) in BC, including first responders. Sprott Shaw College is an approved EMALB Educational program.
Skilled Trades British Columbia

SkilledTradesBC leads and coordinates the skilled trades training and credential system in BC. After completion of the electrical foundation program, students will receive an SkilledTradesBC ID number, allowing them to work in the electrical industry. Ministry of Education and Childcare
Sprott Shaw College’s Early Childhood Education programs are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Childcare. Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a critical role in providing education and care for young children. To work as an ECE or ECE Assistant in a licensed child care facility in B.C. you must be certified by the ECE Registry. The National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) facilitates collaboration for its members – the pharmacy regulatory authorities across Canada – to discuss and take a national approach in addressing common issues in the practice of pharmacy in Canada.

National Payroll Institute

The National Payroll Institute (NPI) represents over 40,00 payroll practitioners covered under individual or organization memberships, working with employers and governments to make payroll legislation and administration more efficient and effective. Graduates of the Sprott Shaw College payroll programs are eligible to complete and submit the application to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation from the National Payroll Institute.
