CHESIL ARNANTE, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CHILDREN WITH EXCEPTIONALITIES

Why did you choose Sprott Shaw College?

I chose Sprott Shaw College because I believe they provide a quality education.

How was the admissions process?

The admission process ran smoothly.

What program did you choose and why?

I chose the Children With Exceptionalities program because I want to complete my ECE Post-Basic Diploma.

What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?

It was very welcoming and accommodating.

Where was your practicum or co-op and how was it?

My practicum was at CEFA, Canada Way, Burnaby, and it was great because the teachers there were very supportive and helpful.

How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?

I got a job right away.

Where do you work? Can you explain your duties?

I am working at CEFA, Canada Way, Burnaby, and I am teaching and working in the Toddler classroom, which I find compelling. I help the children become independent, for example, by teaching them to put on and take off their outdoor gear and assisting with potty training.

If you could give advice to someone coming to Sprott Shaw, what would you say?

I would advice them to pursue and finish their studies.
