Jessica LeBlanc, Early Childhood Educator

What were you doing before attending Sprott Shaw College?

Before attending Sprott Shaw was finishing high school.

Why did you choose Sprott Shaw College?

I chose Sprott Shaw because of the fast enrollment and the amazing admissions team at the New West campus.

How was the admissions process?

The admissions process at Sprott Shaw was quick and easy. Ursula made the admission process seamless and quick, she even answered all the questions that I had. Ursula also made the program switch registration package easy as I already knew what to expect when I started the program.

What program did you choose and why?

I chose the ECE Basic Program because I wanted to work with children and based my high school work experience volunteering at my old elementary school. Before ECE I took the SETA program at the same college and same campus.

What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?

The environment was great with the smaller class sizes, and my instructor was always there to answer my questions. I enjoyed the class environment as everyone in the class was nice and friendly. I loved that Danielle Prior took the time to treat me with patience, respect, and love during my time at Sprott Shaw.

How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?

My graduation is still two months out but it took me a week after finishing the program to find a job!

Can you explain your duties?

Right now I work as a substitute for a Daycare in North Vancouver.

My duties are subbing for the regular staff and doing basic chores.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

The one thing I would like to share is to have fun making new friends in the program you enroll in at Sprott Shaw.
