At Sprott Shaw, our Trades and Design programs prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications to readily enter the industry.
Our Trades students are provided with approved training to become certified construction electrician apprentices. After completion of the Electrical Foundations program, students will receive an ITA* ID number, allowing them to work in the electrical industry.
The Electrical Foundations program is ideal for entry-level electrical training – where no ITA sponsorship is required and includes a 25-week practicum. Our Construction Electrician program combines theoretical content with practical hands-on lab experience using industry-standard equipment.
Our Design programs provide students with the competitive knowledge and skills to pursue diverse industries. Our Design programs also include practicum experiences and have a strong influence rooted in sustainability. Through hands-on training, students will learn how to effectively use software applications like AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, SU Podium and V-Ray for SketchUp, BIM Revit, Rhino, and more.
