Business Administration Management with Practicum and Co-op

Learning Objectives

Business Administration Management graduates are able to:

  • Develop strategic business plans
  • Manage various digital marketing channels such as social media
  • Develop and manage project plans
  • Devise and execute effective negotiation strategies and sales presentations
  • Perform accounting activities and analyze financial statements
  • Evaluate return on investment for business operations or marketing activities

This program includes a Co-op placement. This placement enables the student to gain first-hand paid experience in the chosen career field while enabling Instructional staff to observe the student in a practice situation. Please note successful completion of the Co-op is required for graduation.

Admission Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / GED or mature student status (all transcripts must be “true certified copies” or originals)
  • Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and may be required to do an entrance assessment (with a minimum composite score of 42)

Note: English level assessment will be required for international students (with a minimum score of 20/40 in language).

Diploma Requirements:
  • 60% average upon successful completion of all courses, including courses given a complete.
Access to Technology:

This program will be delivered online in both synchronous and asynchronous formats and will require the use of a computer. It is therefore important that you have access to a computer and working environment with the following characteristics:

  • Recommended hardware – Dual core 2.64 GHz processor with 2 GM RAM
  • Must have Microsoft Windows 10, 7 or Vista operating system
  • Macintosh computers unable to run windows based programs are not acceptable.
  • High speed internet connection – cable or ADSL
  • MS Office 2013 is preferred
  • Web camera/High Definition video camera (MS LifeCam series, Logitech C500 or 900 series)
  • Headset with microphone

Instructors are available at all times for scheduled classes and by email (response within 24 hours). Additionally, students can usually access instructors prior to class or just after the class ends.

* Business Administration Management with Practicum and Co-op was reviewed and approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.

Students can expect to complete one to three hours of homework per day.

  • Complete the Accounting Cycle to closing (GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Year End)
