Where Our Abbotsford Graduates are Working
Abbotsford alumni can be found working in well-recognized establishments throughout the Fraser Valley. Many of our Nursing and Healthcare graduates work in the local Chilliwack and Abbotsford Regional Hospitals while graduates of our Early Childhood Educator and Education Assistant programs often work in the Abbotsford School District. Our Administration graduates are typically employed by the City of Abbotsford, city courts, and other offices throughout the area.

Meet Our Abbotsford Instructors
Gail P – Early Childhood Education (ECE)
After over 35 years, I am still very passionate about the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE). I have been fortunate enough to have spent the last 10 years sharing that passion with ECE students at Sprott Shaw. Prior to teaching, I owned and operated two large learning facilities and advocated at various levels for ECEs, children, and families.
Louie T – Practical Nursing (PN)
In 2016, I started teaching in the Practical Nursing program at Sprott Shaw. I enjoy helping students become nurses who make differences in people’s lives. I have also worked in healthcare since 2014 at various care homes. My qualifications include: Graduate Nurse International Education 2012, BSN 2007, and RCA 2003
Christine W – Practical Nursing (PN)
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Australia and have over 20 years of healthcare teaching experience. I am a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and have worked in outpost nursing as far north as Nunavut. I have also spent many years as the Director of Care and Executive Director at various complex care facilities.
John M – Business
For over 45 years, I have been a teacher and mentor to students during my military career and time with Sprott Shaw. I am a recipient of “The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal” and have been part-owner of a small business, financial officer of a non-profit, and registrar of a national association. I was also an early adaptor of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, accounting programs, and website development.
Sam A – Business
After gaining my Bachelor of Arts , I completed a Masters of Arts in Newfoundland. I have been in the adult education field for the past 4 years, working primarily as an instructor with Sprott Shaw. In addition to teaching courses in business, I have spent the past 19 years working in human resources and currently run my own consulting firm.
Kristina O – Medical Office Administrator (MOA)
After graduating from Sprott Shaw in 2004 with an Honours Diploma in Medical Office Administrator (MOA) / Pharmacy, I have gained over a decade of experience in the MOA and pharmacy fields. I am also a certified Medical Transcriptionist. In 2013, I joined Sprott Shaw as an instructor and curriculum writer.
