Meet Our Vancouver – Seymour Instructors

Raman G – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

I completed my Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and minor in counselling from a local university. I have over 8 years of experience working as an early childhood educator (ECE) with children from 12 months to 12 years old. With time, my passion for this career continues to grow as it allows me to constantly learn with children and embrace my philosophy of a “teachable moment.”

Megan M – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

Since 2001, I have been involved in Early Childhood Education (ECE) in both Vancouver and Seattle. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters in Curriculum & Instruction (ECE Emphasis) from a university in Seattle. I’ve also worked as a nanny and created courses for nannies coming to Vancouver from overseas. Since 2012, Sprott Shaw’s Early Childhood Education program has been my home.

Mata P – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

I began my career in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Montessori before moving into adult education in 2015. Since joining Sprott Shaw, I have taught ECE and am currently teaching Montessori and developing curriculum. I am a recipient of the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Award of Excellence, in recognition of outstanding contributions to quality childcare in BC. I am working towards my Masters of Education, focusing on Leadership in Learning.

Rima M – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

After two Bachelor degrees, one in Science and the other in Law, I’m delighted to have found my true passion in early childhood education (ECE) and thankful for the experience I gained in working with the YMCA in Vancouver. I believe that ECE is the most important profession as we get to work with children who will eventually lead our future.

Jennifer T – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

I have been working with children for 25 years and in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field with a license to practice for 16 years. I have worked in a variety of ECE settings such as: preschools, group daycares, family daycares, private agencies, and have also travelled in the United States working for Club Med in their childcare department. I am also an advocate for the safety and well-being of children.

Fernanda R – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

I have been teaching for over 20 years and have taught students of all ages, skills, developmental, and educational levels. I have a Bachelor of Arts and completed my Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma in Ontario where I worked in ECE settings including the YMCA and the Toronto School Board. I’ve been an ECE instructor since 2010.

Ashleigh D – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

I graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Post-Basic in Special Needs. I have been working with children since 2011 in a variety of settings including junior kindergarten, daycares, and preschools. I enjoy staying active in the ECE community by volunteering as a hostess for Children Heart of the Matter conferences and creating workshops for other educators.

Alisha I – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

While I have worked in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field for over 20 years with children of all ages, I have a particular passion for children between 3 to 5 years old. Over a decade ago, I left Canada for a few years to work with children overseas and returned 10 years ago to open my own preschool in Surrey.
