We enjoy a forested mountain backdrop and are minutes from the popular Nanaimo seawalk and Swy-a-Lana Lagoon. The City of Nanaimo is known as the “Harbour City” and is home to the world-famous Bathtub Races.
The Nanaimo, BC, Canada Campus is not only a wonderful place to learn but also a place to have fun and grow both personally and professionally. We are so proud of every single one of our graduates and all of their accomplishments. Graduation is so rewarding to all of us as staff and we love when our grads come back to let us know about their employment and ‘ring that bell’!

Nanaimo citizens have the city and natural surroundings at their doorstep. It is the second largest city on Vancouver Island, but it still has that small town feel. The city is located by the Straight of Georgia and has one of the longest shorelines in Canada. There are a wide range of outdoor and indoor things to do to accommodate our changeable weather. Nanaimo really can offer something for everyone. Explore Nature If you like spending time in the nature, then you will be happy to know that you don’t have to go very far to enter the Forest or stroll along the Harbour. You can go to Neck Point Park, Piper’s Lagoon, Westwood Lake Park, and Colliery Dam Park to view waterfalls or swim. You can go camping or stay in an RV for the weekend at one of the surrounding campgrounds. There are so many outdoor activities that you can do in your spare time. This includes the adrenaline sports such as zip lining and bungee jumping. There are more low key activities such as hiking, boating, kayaking, biking, snorkeling, sports fishing, and golfing. If you like scuba diving, then you can explore one of the three artificial diving reefs located outside of the Nanaimo Harbour. City Life If it happens to be raining there are several indoor activities you can enjoy including rock climbing, laser tag, arcade, swimming pools, and bowling alleys. Also, there are fitness centres, yoga studios, and other places to focus on your wellness. Say you don’t feel like doing anything very active, you can visit the museum or go to one of the movie theatres. There are several festivals and events that you can attend in Nanaimo. There is the Dragon Boat Festival, Annual Toy Run, and the Sillyboat Regatta to name a few. Also, you can check out the art galleries, music venues, hip cafes, and bookstores around downtown.
